what happened to me on the 29/12/10

wassup~ hahaha today i was damn... lol cos i slept late last night, at around 4am? then i woke up at 10.48. supposed to wake up at 8.30...T.T mian to the junior who had to wait for a long time... haha wore my fan tee plus jeans plus my converse... lol planned out the formation... gotta think of the moves now~ lol... gotta start on the remixed song too! then i gotta finish my homework, and then i have to go out tomorrow, lol. yay~ my grandma cooked ginseng chicken! awesome~ booyeah! lol i am so bored... cant find the motivation to do anything really...lol maurice just came online... gtg~~

All about your damn-assed attitude

This post is about a certain someone.
Yeah you.
You first ask me to buy the ticket with you so that you can get it at a cheaper price. Then, now you say you don't FEEL like going because of some stupid shinee concert. No offence to Fatin. Then you act as if you done nothing wrong, and you act almighty. Have you even thought about my circumstance? No you don't. Not for this, not for the previous ukiss fansign. Not ever. You have never pu other people before you. Well guess what. I can't stand it anymore. You should just reflect on yourself. Think about it. Have you ever done things the way people want them to willingly? Everytime you are doing something you don't like you just act so reluctant to, then show some crappy attitude. I know, everyone who do things that they don't like will also show these kinds of side effects, but yours is to the extent of affecting everyone. Don't you just feel dumb doing that? I can think of many times where you do these kinds of things. Once was when we went to our house to bake. Yeah right. As if yours was the batch made in heaven and ours was only fit for animals. You think I don't know you threw it away? I knew I cos the cookie content was all wrong. Yea you underestimated me again. Nicole didn't say anything.
I wonder when you are reading this post, what are you thinking in your mind. Im sure you think WTF I am going to hate her forever. She keeps on criticising me bla bla blah. A bunch of crap thoughts. These were the feelings of not only me, but our other squadmates as well. They just don't want to say anything. Even the one closest to you says this. You have read this far, shouldnt you be thinking what is the problem? Yes, friends should accept each others flaws. But yours is too extreme.

Generally speaking, you are:
1. A control freak
2. A super selfish person
3. A thoughtless person.

I can't even think of one good thing about you. I hope you can change that.

Hieee. Lol today was fun:) hahaha. Watched gullivers travels haha. It is super awesome... Note to self. Never try to drink when a scene is about to get funny. You will have to inconvenience the person sitting in front of ya. Yay!!! It's Christmas eve;) (to me cos it's 12.52 a.m hehehe about to try and sleep. But I doubt I will be able to. Hmm. My sister has real problems man. She got frustrated with her earpiece and threw it onto the ground. Lol. Just cos it couldn't fit....

What shall I do now. Hmm. Hhaha let down my fringe for the first time today;) yay haha shall do the same for the Christmas party. So for you ppl who wanna see how it looks like, check Facebook. There will be loads of photos. :D um. Lol. Nowadays my internet is super siao. Can connect but can't be used. It gets me frustrated but I'll live hheh. Oh right. I manAged to bribe my cousin to stay over:) hehe I am so anticipating tomorrows party. My elders cousin is gonna bring her boyfriend over for the first time;);) haha lol weird. Don't know why but I feel kinda excited. Shall super play tomorrow hehehe anticipate a super long post for tomorrow. If I have enough energy&battery&willpower to blog hehehe ok my hands are aching. Woah... Not really that tired. It was so awesomely fun!!!!made quite a few new friends. Lol. Hahaha leonard~ I'm watching ya hrheheh. It would be knda awesome if we actually had another combined training or a campfire performance thingy together. Had this weird salty omelet with rice, and my favorite chilli tofu. Hehehe. Fo dinner. Then updated sims a little. Then watched buffy the vampire slayer with my sis just now. Okay shall stop here.

so... today, i am gonna go to yio chu kang for the combined training, then i will come back and continue playing sims again~ hehehe its so awesome!~ and the spaghetti i cooked,; my family said it was awesome~ hahaha yay:) now, ukiss is having a new reality show called we are dating. with girls day:D haha one of my top 3 girls groups haha thank god! xander is with minah~ they look awesome together! and it would be awesome also if they really got together ! in real life hehe xander is tooooo lonely:D tomorrow they books are coming, and the class barbecue to~ lol okay gonna go now:P bb

what happened to me on the 19/12/10

hi!!! im back hahaha! i am getting addicted to playing with sims now. weird. but anyway, gonna get my books tomorrow, and maybe gonna skip? and go watch a movie, and eat some awesome food~ hehehe tomorrow, my aunt is gonna bring the christmas tree over! yeah~ on tuesday, there will be a combined training, and on thursday i am not free. then its CHRISTMAS EVE! yay~ i know what my mum go for me~ i got a sushi set~ hehehe SQUADMATES!~ gonna give you something on tuesday~ hehehe E3-ians! i have a letter + gift for ya! hope all of you like it~ lol... nowadays, my sister has been watching drake and josh! LOL its really funny:) everyday i watch nickelodeon/disney channel/cartoon netwwork/arirang/kbs world! hehehe awesome~ i LOVE big time rush... dont know why too... lol. now i am super bored. so i shall talk about my computer. i have officially deleted all the things that are useless in my computer and now it works at 'godspeed'~ the christmas specials now are so fun to watch! we can see all the uber popular groups hehehe...:) lol now i keep on eplaying aing~ and dancing to it... WHICH REMINDS ME! i have to cheoreograph for 3 events!!! we should meet up sooooon. there is really no more time lol anyway, shall retreat to youtube and enjoy random videos now!

below is a post from the uni channel... i beg everyone please read it carefully...

The end of 2010 is approaching. To some, it is the period where we should spend our time and enjoy ourselves, seek forgiveness from each other. To others, this is the time to relax before a new year of STUDYING begins.

Well to me, as a VI, it marks the end of another chapter of my unit, and the start of anew chapter to a new group of individuals.

Thats right, I always look forward to the day when I get to see the future leaders of my unit in 3 years time: The new sec 1s! You're looking forward to see them too right?

Those cute little faces of boys and girls, all eager to learn what we have to provide them. Of course to some of you who had a bad impression of some sec 1s this year, you would be saying "Oh great new sec 1s. Those grumpy good for nothing kids who are so pampered that they can't even do a sedia right. Last time we used to be able to yada yada yada yada yada blahblahblah (ranting goes on about how good his squadmates are compared to the younger one".

Well, you would be surprise to know that you seniors had probably said the same thing about your squad too!

It is a common trend to see seniors saying how lousy the juniors are, and the cycle always repeats. I'm old enough to see nearly 10 batches of seniors saying that. Haha, I'm guilty of doing such a thing last time too!

"But it IS true!" some of you might say. The younger batch takes a longer time to travel from place to place, they drag their feet, they talk back to seniors, they can't raise their arms straight, they don't greet, they look sloppy and the list goes on.

So the problem is: Why do sec 1s get worser and worser each year? What should we do to stop this?

To me, they don't get worser. They're still the same. Why? 2 reasons:

1. They are sec 1s after all.

It takes a long time for them to adjust to the UG way of life. With the society getting a better lifestyle each year, more children are getting more comfortable with the way they live. It is thus not surprising to see them bringing in their old habits into trainings.

You can't deny that you love to fidget in squad last time. Or you don't see a point in shouting "YES SIR/MA'AM!" or greeting everytime a senior walks past you.

That is because you are not accustomed to the new lifestyle. You feel weird, you want to feel comfortable, you want to go home. And UG is never about being comfortable. It is about pushing you to the higher limit to improve yourself as a whole, and the first way to do that is to infuse the ultimate word: Discipline.
And to sec 1s, discipline was never in their dictionary.

So it is natural for them to act this way in the first 8-12 months of RC life. They don't get worse. They are just like that in the first year.

They will slowly change as they reach sec 2-4. No worries.

2. We see only what we like to see.

We like to see negative things. So even if the squad does not have a problem at all, we will still think that they do if we see the slightest mistake.

This is a common problem that I always observe in many senior batches. We love to see, "See la, they so slack. That boy just dragged his foot." or "Walao can't even stand properly, they all slouch" "Toufu batch la, I think our unit die liao in the future."

How many of you are guilty of saying these lines before? Nod if you are! (nods myself)

But if you analyze yourself and your friends further, how many of such judgmental phrases have actual evidences? Is the WHOLE squad really slack? Or is it just one person slouching, making you generalize that the whole squad is slack?

It goes the same for every "mistake" that you have spotted among the new sec 1s. We always see the bad things. But have we ever tried to open our eyes a little bit more to start spotting the good things about them?

Its an easy thing to do, but subconsciously, we humans like to always be the better lot. So even if it is easy, we rarely do it unless someone tell us to.

Have you ever seen at least one of them standing really straight, and praising him for his effort?

Or have you always been watching for someone to slouch, and then scold everyone for being too slack?

Looking back, the problem of a new squad of sec 1s doesn't heavily rely on the people in the squad. Rather it relies on the people who are receiving them, the people who are guiding them and nurturing them, the people who are to embrace them into the family. What the sec 1s turn into depends on all of you, from sec 2s to sec 5s.

What you tell them, how you motivate them, how you scold them, what reasons you give them when they ask you "Why do this? Why do that?".

Sec 1s are new, so the very first thing that you tell them will leave a lasting impression on them of RCY. The very first way/style that you use when yo talk to them will leave a lasting impression on them of RCY as well.

Someone who threatens: "Don't Drag! Or else you owe me 20 sit ups!"

versus another who reasons: "Don't drag, so that when you learn marching in Footdrill, the habit will not be there. Dragging is a common mistake, so start learning from now."

versus another who motivates: "Cmon everyone lets not drag! You don't drag, I don't drag, we all happy. ok?"

versus another who warns: "If you drag at HQ activities, you confirm get scolding. So don't drag!"

versus another who compares "Do you see me dragging? No right? I look professional when I lift my footd when I walk. So you want to be like the NCOs and myself? Yes right? Then don't drag!"

versus another who commands: "Dragging only makes you sloppy. If you want to be seen as a professional and good looking person, don't drag. For the benefit of you and your future."

These 6 NCOs who keep using these styles over and over, will create different batches of Sec 1s. And you know which kind of sec 1s will come out from the various styles of training.

My point is, sec 1s will always be sec 1s. We always want the best from them, and we always set standards based on what we think should be the standard, or based on our own standards that we have achieved before. But before we even start looking out for their mistakes and criticizing our new juniors, we should first look at how we can help them improve as fast as possible to fit into the UG lifestyle. We need to look at ourselves, the way we train them.

We need to start to look for the good things as well as the can-be-improved issues. Only then can the new sec 1s benefit and improve. Only then can we improve and move ahead as a unit.

Criticizing won't bring you anywhere. You don't get EUA gold for saying your juniors are not up to standard. They won't improve too.



Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, but learning to dance in the rain.

Never think life negatively but more of a challenge? It is all this things that happens in life which made it so much more interesting and colourful? =]

Hmmm. For example, usually camps that is tougher, more tiring, more disgusting, more scary etc that made it so memorable and unforgettable. If it is just a normal boring dull camp with all the usual thing a camp programme has, not much campers will remember it after a few years down the road maybe?

Why do you want to step back and wait for it to pass when actually you can just step up and you will have all the fun you want! You will experience thinks that you can never thought of too! Never let fear overtake you. Just think positively always and grab whatever opportunities given to you before it fly away!

Think positively during your papers too! You will then feel less stress up and can focus better in it too. X]

In life, there is always setbacks. Everyone have setbacks definitely, but it is just a matter of how you handle it. So people, lets work together and never ever let our setbacks make us down and emo. But instead, a learning point in life and to never repeat such things again. XD WOOHOO.

What I feel up to this point...

Well, the weird thing is that I just found out my friend has broken up wit the other half... Lo then that friend told me not to get into a relationship, not that I want to, it's what I have been thinking so far. Haha I imagine liking someone who is super tall, gentleman-ly,and fives me a sense of security. Yup. Hehe weird right. Seems like I am really despo, but I just feel bored everyday at home, so my mind just wanders~.~^^
So today I just did 2 prep talks. One was to tis guy who was spamming the convo. Everyone was super irritated, so I tried to talk some sense into him. Weirdly he really did stop the spamming. Then the second one was to my squadmate hehe. Somehow, I feel like next year would be an awesome year i the right people were chosen. Some people are just not fit to be in a position where they can accept other opinions. Anyway, I feel so weirdly happy when I am talking to my E3 group mates. :):) Maurice and Jia Xin some how have some grudge against each other. Hee then George cheated our feelings... The number he gave us, was not really real I suppose. Oh right, I didn't get a landyard. But I am happy that I went for uip:)! I shall stop here, watching desperate housewives now;)

i am so back man!! hehe so super fun... vietnam was the most entertaining trip ever! haha my roommate was fatin, and lol she had lots of momnets... going round and round(bingeul bingeul) when she was laughing, and we asked her wae ro ni then she rolled onto the florr haha so epic! then she was trying to get up, but she fell back down on to the floor!!! hehe every night we had a maggi mee party somehow... heheh... there was also kbs world! awesome man! cartoon network and disney channel too! so awesome! bought super awesome shoes man!!! i should have bought one more pair man!anyway, th e things there are super cheap man!!! lol i am so super satisfied with all the things that we have bought...:) i bought many souvenirs for a lot of people~ apparently, i spent all my dong, so i dont have anymore to change~~ now i am kinda bored... oh right!~ i shall talk about the traffic there. ok. its like everywhere there will be constant hoking everywhere, then the motorcycles there are like zoom zoom everywhere, and the air is so hard to breathe... lol can you imagine? i doubt so man... you should experience it yourself... ok lastly i shall 'promote' two new songs that are kinda nice~.~
